A Small business owner from 2004-2012.
Leadership role in healthcare for almost 15 years.
My first business venture was at age 12. I made and sold giant bubble blowers at Heritage Days in Rogersville. After that, I built and sold PCs in high school. Post-college, I started a technology business in Kingsport that has morphed into a division of a regionally based technology company that serves customers across the nation in 9 states. Overall it employs around 30-40 programmers in the region (Most in Kingsport). 90% of our staff have Computer Science Degrees from ETSU or UVA- Wise.
I'd like to bring a perspective to the BMA that is watching for the future and emerging opportunities. The goal is to help the city align itself for success as we move forward. I often read literature on disruptive concepts that are 10-20+ years out if they mature. This forward-looking can help Kingsport and our region.
